The hibiscus is the national flower of Malaysia since it was still an entity of the Federation of Malaya. Introduced to Malaya in the 12th century, it was chosen as the national flower in 1958 by the Ministry of Agriculture from a number of other flowers such as kenanga, melur, lotus, rose, cempaka and tanjung. We at Medin Fragrance use the symbol of this hibiscus flower as our company logo because it is the basis of the beauty of our country which is harmonious and has various races under a strong constitution. Thereby, hibiscus is also a symbol of our identity where it gives birth to the spirit of courage in overcoming any obstacles and challenges in life. 🌺
